Durslade

In the fall of 2016, Ewa Monika Zebrowski participated in a residency at Hauser & Wirth Somerset, a former dairy farm-turned arts center. Zebrowski explored her surroundings through the lens of her camera. The Farmhouse on the property, built in the 17th century and restored around 2010, resonated with memory.

FOOTPATHS

Footpaths meander.
In all seasons.
Unmarked trails in farmer’s fields.
Green and soft under foot.
Long grasses and apple trees.
Tiny windflowers and thistle.
Vines and bramble intertwine.
Untamed.
In all weather, in all seasons.

The occasional traveller.
